Heute nur ein kleines Update: Ich bin jetzt sprachlich auf dem Niveau A1 & das nach nur 3 Wochen, yippieh:-) & heute habe ich meine 1. Spanischlektüre angefangen. Es geht also wirklich voran! Zwar kann ich's immer noch nicht abwarten, bis ich wirklich komplett alles sagen kann, was ich gerne sagen würde (& das ist eine Menge!), aber ich gebe mir Mühe. Gestern habe ich auch schon eine Diskussion über Steuern & Kindergeld in Deutschland geführt, ebenso wie über das deutsche Schulsystem. Yeay! Ich kann schon fast gut diskutieren, der Spanischkurs bringt also auf jeden Fall was! Falls ihr jemals in der Situation sein solltet, dass ihr eine Sprache nicht könnt, ich mein das ernst: Labert einfach drauf los! Alles ist besser, als die ganze Zeit nur stillschweigend daneben zu sitzen. Klar, ich muss Johanna & Caspar auch oft fordern & sie nach Vokabeln fragen, oder jene gar nachschlagen, aber trotzdem. In einem fremden Land, in dem du dich für mehrere Monate quasi "einnistest" einen Eindruck als "Mäuschen" zu hinterlassen (in meinem Fall ist wohl keine Beschreibung unpassender als "Mäuschen.."), das bringt doch nix. Also, nur Mut, Leute! & wenn ihr Angst vor Fehlern habt: Mein Gott, keiner erwartet von euch, dass ihr sofort sprachlich perfekt seid. - Naja, ansonsten gibt's nicht viel zu berichten. Heute wollten wir eigentlich mit ALLEN Kindergartenkindern Bäume pflanzen, aber weil's leider geregnet hat, wurde daraus nix. Kann ja mal passieren. Stattdessen sind einfach sechs Kinder nach dem Mittagessen auf mir eingeschlafen. Oh, die sind aber auch süß, ey!:-)

For today I only have a short update: I'm in level A1 in my Spanish class now after only 3 weeks of classes, yeah!:-) & today I started my first reading in Spanish. I really make progress! I still can't wait till I'm completely able to say anything I'd like to (& that's a lot!), but I'm trying hard. Yesterday I had a discussion in Spanish about taxes & child benefit in Germany, as well as the educational system in Germany, Yeay! I was almost able to discuss topics like that well, so, as you can see, the Spanish class is awesome! And if you're ever in a situation like that that you cannot speak the language, I'm serious: Just start talking! Everything's better than only sitting there, keeping silent. Yes, I need to ask Johanna & Caspar a whole bunch of vocabulary or I even need to look it up in the dictionary every now & then, but still. To make the impression of a cute little sweetheart (whereupon "sweetheart" really is the most unfitting description for me..) is probably not the best way to present yourself when you're in an (for you) unknown country trying to live there for several months. So, really, be brave, ppl! & if you're afraid of possible mistakes: Holy crap! No one expects from you to be perfect in a foreign language. - Whatever. Otherwise there's not much to tell you. Today we actually wanted to plant trees with ALL kids of the kindergarten, but because it was raining all morning long, we decided not to go. Well, that's okay. Instead after their lunch, six kids fell asleep on me (I was sitting on the ground & they came up to me, sitting next to me, putting their head somewhere on my arms, legs, stomach, etc.). Man, those kids are so freaking cute!:-)
